N-Cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolyl subsulfonamide (CBT for short) is an organic compound with the following properties:
1. Appearance: CBT is a solid in the form of white or off-white crystals or powder.
2. Solubility: CBT dissolves well in some common organic solvents (e.g. toluene, dimethyl sulfoxide and tetrahydrofuran, etc.).
3. Melting point: The melting point of CBT ranges from 140-143℃.
4. Stability: CBT is relatively stable and can be stored for long periods of time under conventional storage conditions.
The main use of CBT is as a drug intermediate. It can be used to synthesise a wide range of biologically active compounds, such as antibacterial drugs, antiviral drugs and antitumour drugs. Its unique structure and chemical properties give CBT the potential for a wide range of applications in medicinal chemistry.
The preparation of CBT can be carried out by a two-step reaction. First, cyclohexyl sulfate chloride undergoes a substitution reaction with 2-aminobenzothiazole to obtain N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazole sulfuryl chloride. Then, the sulfuryl chloride is reacted with an amine to produce N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolyl subsulfonamide.

Product Properties: Off-white powder (granule), slightly odour, non-toxic. Specific gravity 1.31-1.34, melting point over 98℃, easily soluble in benzene, toluene, chloroform, carbon disulfide, methylene chloride, acetone, ethyl acetate, not easily soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water, dilute acid, dilute alkali and gasoline.
Product Usage: CZ is a kind of highly active after-effect accelerator, with excellent anti-scorch performance, safe processing and short vulcanisation time. It has strong promotion effect when the vulcanisation temperature is above 138℃. It is often combined with WILLING TMTD, WILLING DPG or other alkaline accelerators as the second accelerator. Alkaline accelerators such as thiuram and dithiocarbamates can enhance its activity. Mainly used in the manufacture of tyres, hoses, rubber shoes, cables and other industrial Rubber Products.

Storage: It should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place in a single layer. Packed products should be kept out of direct sunlight, overlapping stacking will cause abnormal compression or particle breakage. High humidity or high temperature will cause product decomposition.
